Fixing squeaky doors: If you don’t have a can of WD-40 at home, use cooking spray instead to fix the squeaky doors. All you need to do is spray some on the hinges and let it rest overnight.
Keeping screws in place: If you are having a tough time keeping screws from coming loose, make sure to use some translucent nail paint over the screw. The nail paint essentially glues the screw to the surface, making it far less likely for it to come loose.
Filling up nail holes: If you have exposed nail holes on your walls, take a crayon that matches the paint on the wall and rub it over the nail hole. This will quickly fill up the nail hole.
Unscrewing broken bulbs: You’ve likely experienced a bulb bursting when it is in the socket at least once. If this happens to you, simply cut a potato in half and press the soft side of the potato into the broken edges of the bulb. Once you’ve done this, turn the potato counterclockwise till the bulb is unscrewed.

Fixing carpet dents: If you spot any debts on your carpet, place a cube of ice on the debted surface of the carpet. As the ice cube melts, the carpet fibers should begin to spring back. Once the area is dry, you can use a brush to comb over and fluff the dented areas.
Cleaning your showerhead: One area in your bathroom that gets overlooked often is the showerhead, which can lead to a build-up of grime and mineral deposits. If you spot your shower head looking like it needs a good cleaning, simply soak it in vinegar overnight and rinse it the next morning.
